Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Abbie Mood, and I’m the Managing Editor here at Barefoot Running. Although I am somewhat of a newbie to running shodless, I’ve been running since high school, and have completed 3 half marathons and 3 full marathons. I’m currently training for my 4th marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon in October! If you want to learn more about me, check out my website or follow me on Twitter. For those of you that are new to Barefoot Running, I also wanted to give you the lowdown on some terminology so that you can jump right in -
- shod/shodless – with/without shoes
- minimalist shoes – shoes that have less foam & heel than typical sneakers – examples include Terra Plana shoes and the Nike Free series
- Vibram Fivefingers – look like toe socks, but have rubber soles – like a glove for your foot!
